Chelsea landed Gonzalo Higuain at the weekend, loaned out Alvaro Morata to Atletico on Monday and now looked to have won the biggest battle of the transfer window.
Callum Hudson-Odoi handed in a transfer request at the weekend, but has been told by club chiefs that he is going nowhere this month.
Bayern Munich have been willing to hand over £45million for the teenage winger and the Germans have already had three bids rejected.
But the Blues are standing their ground – despite his contract having just 18 months left.
Arsenal target Ivan Perisic has handed in a transfer request to force a move from Inter Milan also – but the Italians say they’ve yet to receive an offer for the winger.
Tuesday has also seen one of the window’s biggest deals, with PSG splashing £40million to land Leandro Paredes.

Fellaini in China talks
Manchester United are in talks with a Chinese Super League club over a deal to sell Marouane Fellaini.
Fellaini, as reported by Mirror Football earlier this month, is set to become the first casualty of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United reign, having played just 31 minutes in eight games under the caretaker boss.
Belgium international Fellaini has 18 months left on his current deal and United are looking to secure a fee in the region of £15million for the 31-year-old, who knows he has no future under Solskjaer.
Fellaini is currently injured, and with the Chinese Super League transfer window open until late next month, there is no urgency on United’s part to rush through a deal, but the player’s five-and-a-half year Old Trafford spell is nearing its end.
Betis want Janssen
Real Betis want Tottenham flop Vincent Janssen, according to Sky Sports.
The Spanish side have reportedly made contact with Spurs over a potential move.
Sarri issues transfer update
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has admitted he is “waiting” for a second January signing following the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain .
Argentina striker Higuain, who arrived on loan from Juventus last week, had been the club’s priority this window but their Italian coach had hoped to bring in two players before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Sarri is keen to add a deep-lying central midfielder to his squad and help alleviate the pressure on Jorginho, after Cesc Fabregas was allowed to join Monaco earlier this month.
Leandro Paredes and Nicolo Barella had both been identified as potential targets, but the former has instead completed a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Sarri said: “I thought for us it was important to have two players. One has arrived. I am waiting for the other.
“If he will arrive, I will be very happy, otherwise I have to work with these players. It’s not a big problem for me.”
Morata on Atletico return
Alvaro Morata says destiny is behind his return to Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea striker Morata has sealed an 18-month loan deal with Los Rojiblancos.
Morata, 26, leaves Chelsea after a difficult spell in the Premier League, which saw him start brightly under Antonio Conte before fading last season and failing to impress under new boss Maurizio Sarri this term.
“Simeone didn’t have to convince me to join, my life has taken many detours, but it was destiny that I would arrive here,” Morata explained in his presentation.
“I’m happy and proud to be here, I can’t wait to train with my new teammates.
“I thank all those who are present today, Michelangelo and Andrea, I’m really proud to be back at this club, it’s my childhood team, I have so many happy memories, it means a lot to be here.”

How Arsenal’s hopes of signing Denis Suarez came back from the ‘dead’
On Tuesday morning, they were over.
On Tuesday afternoon, the player is set to sign – and it may even be done tonight.
Here’s the story on how Arsenal’s on-off-on move for Denis Suarez came back from the dead!
Goro and Foxes hunt Leeds starlet
Middlesbrough and Leicester City are tracking one of Marcelo Bielsa’s youngsters at Leeds United.
Both the Teessiders and the Foxes have been keeping a close eye on starlet Jordan Stevens after his move from Forest Green Rovers.
The two rival suitors have been regular visitors to Leeds’ Under-23s to see Stevens, 18, who was recently given his first-team debut by his Argentine boss.
The midfielder has come on leaps and bounds since his move from Gloucestershire and was rewarded with an appearance from the bench during the 2-1 defeat to Stoke City.
Denis Suarez update – Arsenal confident of loan deal
Arsenal are confident of pulling off a last minute deal for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez.
Reports in Spain say that Suarez has now agreed a compromise with Barcelona which will see him loaned until the Emirates this summer and then Arsenal will have the option to do an £18m permanent deal.
The latest development on Suarez would now suggest that Arsenal are unlikely to get Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic after the Serie A club insisted there has been no formal offer.
Suarez, 25, will now sign a contract extension with Barcelona until 2021 to help the Catalan club protect their asset.
